Makerforte – Aurel Diyah Agustin, a student from the Accounting program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), has developed a unique lip tint product named Botanics. This innovative lip tint is made using natural extracts from dragon fruit peel and turmeric. Aurel collaborated with Salsabila Fitri Alya from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Dita Ristyani from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in creating this high-quality product.
“The Botanics lip tint harnesses natural extracts from dragon fruit peel and turmeric to produce a distinctive and safe color. It also includes vitamin E to maintain lip health,” Aurel explained in a statement on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
The Botanics lip tint features an interactive packaging design that enhances user convenience. The idea stemmed from the observation that her classmates frequently needed a mirror when applying lipstick or lip tint. This highlighted the need for a practical solution in cosmetic packaging.
“Each Botanics package includes a lip tint and a pouch with a mirror, allowing users to apply the product anytime and anywhere,” she added.

With its interactive and user-friendly packaging, Botanics stands out from other lip tints on the market. The product is available on various online marketplaces and can be order through their Instagram account @pkmkugm.botanics.
The Botanics lip tint is part of the 2024 Student Creativity Program in Entrepreneurship (PKM-K). Supervised by Ronny Martien, and has received funding from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
